Eugene, Oregon

Two years ago-ish I got engaged, moved to Oregon and started grad school. All in one swoop. All those changes marked a pretty clean transition into a new life chapter.
.
Unlike the chapter before it, this one was way less linear. I always expected myself to eventually move to a different state and to get a Masters, but I didn’t think too much of what life would look like once that got started. Life had been pretty linear up to that point. Why should it change?
.
Except life the past couple of years has been anything but linear. Projects that seemed exciting at the start fell apart and there were a lot of false starts and changes in plan. And that’s a great thing.
.
Life would be kinda boring if it was so linear… if we didn’t need to experiment and fail to learn things. The process itself is a pretty good thing.
